Why was this project so good?

The workshops enable a group of young people to learn about heritage in a creative environment that helped them to improve self-confidence and self-esteem.  Participants were also able to build on a variety of skills - from improved communication, team building and research skills, to the dance skills used in the final performance. In addition, the group produced a film which documented the workshops, rehearsals and the final performance.  When the project was completed, 30 participants were presented with Youth Achievement Awards.
