Why was this project so good?

The Lottery cash was used to help the Society stage a Ploughing Match in Banbridge involving people of all ages from the local community in a bid to promote the ancient tradition of ploughing. The competition took place in September and was a big success with people from across East Down taking part. Representatives from the NI Vintage Ploughing Association and NI Ploughing Association judged the competition and held sessions with younger members on the skills of ploughing, promoting it as a skill and healthy pastime.
