The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is the lead development agency for the arts in Northern Ireland. We are the main support for artists and arts organisations throughout the region, offering a broad range of funding opportunities through our Treasury and National Lottery funds.

Type of work funded

A range of schemes create opportunities for everyone to participate in the arts: from assistance for small groups, funding for equipment and the development of new works in all art forms, to capital resources for building and refurbishment schemes.

Grants from £5,001 (upper limits vary according to scheme)

Applications are assessed according to the principal criteria: public benefit; quality of artistic activity; financial viability and management; partnership funding. Individuals are not eligible to apply for Arts Council Lottery funds.
