Their experienced ‘dad’s workers’ help men to understand the issues that they might be facing and deal with them effectively. The organisation also provides training and information for professionals who would like to work with fathers.
National Lottery funding enabled the project to provide a programme of weekly workshops for dads and father figures to bring their children along to in order for them to learn new skills together and improve their relationships.
Dads Do It Too Director, John Street explains “We see significant improvement in family life when dads spend quality time with their children. Whether they live together or only see each other occasionally they develop positive memories through time spent talking, sharing, learning, bonding and discovering together. Fatherhood is a life long journey. We are here to help dads understand and fulfil their role as a father.”
