National Lottery Funding Takes Centre Stage for British Theatres

An infographic released by the National Lottery has thrown the spotlight on how their funding is delivering drama and theatre to audiences across the UK.
The image is released on Day 29 of ‘Just Imagine’, a nationwide campaign to raise awareness of the massive impact that £31 billion in project funding has had across the UK since the first National Lottery draw 20 years ago this year.
Theatres in 40 towns across the country, including the Brunton Theatre in East Lothian, Warwick’s Playbox Theatre and the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven, have each received more than £1 million in funding. The map released by the National Lottery highlights the regional spread of the funding, showing the impact of theatre funding has been felt all across the UK.
