Why was this project so good?
Hyper Island is an innovative educational model first developed in Sweden in 1995. It is aimed at training digital media students with a distinctive way of working which features answering briefs set by industry, problem-based learning and work experience within businesses. NESTA worked in partnership with Hyper Island to support a year-long pilot project to bring the education model to the UK for the first time. The pilot programme sponsored 23 students to gain industry-ready skills on graduation from the course..
