Ynglŷn â'r prosiect

Rachel Gadsden recently took part in a photo shoot, helping us to celebrate 20 years of National Lottery Funding.

Rachel Gadsden is a Lottery funded artist whose life has been changed by her involvement in the Unlimited arts festival during London 2012.

Rachel has a small machine attached to her because she needs to be injected with drugs to be kept alive.  She has a lung condition which is also causing her to lose her sight.  She says that ‘I might be losing my sight but my vision is getting bigger.’

Rachel believes Lottery funded initiatives around the arts have transformed her industry and given people like her opportunities that simply wouldn’t be there otherwise. Rachel has had several commissions because of her involvement in the Unlimited Festival – part of the Cultural Olympiad during London 2012.  Rachel believes there’s been a huge change in the way people view disability since the Games.
