Me, Myself & I is about using art for social change. Working with young offenders in Yorkshire, Founder Asha Munn aims to engage, inspire and nurture their interest in the arts through photography and photographic art.
Asha said: “Me, Myself & I encourages young offenders to develop new skills and tell the story of their troubled backgrounds through art. Their work culminates in high-quality exhibitions where the local community can see the person behind the offender by engaging with their art work.
Existing barriers and attitudes have been positively transformed- the project really boosts the confidence of everyone involved. We’re delighted to be in the semi-final of the Award. National Lottery funding is crucial to us and will make future projects even better.”
Me, Myself & I was a semi-finalist in the 2012 National Lottery Awards.
