The Olympic Lottery Distributor was an independent body set up by Parliament which used money raised by the National Lottery to fund the delivery of the infrastructure for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and their legacy.
The National Lottery played a major role in funding the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. The Olympic Lottery Distributor used Lottery funding to make grants for projects which are necessary for the delivery of the games.
They were part of a family of organisations concerned with the funding of the Games and during their lifetime they grant funded the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), the East London Business Alliance (ELBA) and ICSEMIS 2012.
